We have to admit, we were skeptical when the 4.0 came out because the 3.0 was so good, we couldn’t figure out how much better the 4.0’s would really be. Snaps Fastening Features The new 4.0 Snaps, fastens at the top and easily adjusts over time as your baby grows in the waist. The bottom of the diaper has a 3 x 3 rows of snaps which are also easily adjustable as you baby grows in length. The snap fasteners are very durable and assist the older babies and toddlers from pulling them off in times when discovering their new bound strength!
Hook & Loop Fastening Features The new 4.0 Hook and Loop, which is velcro, fastens at the top and easily adjust s over time as your baby grows in the waist. The bottom of the diaper has a 3 x 3 rows of snaps which are also easily adjustable as you baby grows in length.
New 4.0 Features The 4.0 also features the same quality of having the waterproof stopper insert which helps prevent leaks in your baby’s tummy area. Combine this with the slot cover(area where inserts are put in), which helps prevent wetness as well. Its elastic leg trim can be easily replaced if necessary to insure a fresh and new feel of the cloth diaper over time. Don’t worry, these bands rarely need replaced, but they have now been made available in case they do need to be replaced over time.
These 4.0 diapers are specifically designed to fit babies that range from 7 to 35 pounds. If you have a newborn that is less than 7lbs, there is a possibility that a little leakage could occur as their legs may not be quite big enough to give the essential fit needed for the diaper to be snug. For newborn babies, you can also fold down the insert stopper.
The key element to keeping your baby dry and fresh Each of the 4.0 bumGenius cloth diaper comes with two inserts. The first is a thinner soft yet absorbent infant insert. This is ideal for infants as its not as bulky yet is very absorbent. Next is the toddler insert which is a thicker, bulkier insert to be worn as the baby enters the toddler stages and expels more waist that will require more absorbency.
You can also combine both the baby and toddler insert when putting your baby down for the night as this will help the bed wetting prevention with twice the absorbency rate and help keep your babies skin from breaking out in bad rashes. The suede type of fabric on the inside helps pull the wetness away from your babies skin.
